A yoga block is often seen as a simple support—a way to bring the floor closer, improve alignment or make a posture more accessible.
But what if it could become something much more?
Summer Blocks is an invitation to experience your yoga practice through a different lens. Rather than simply learning new ways to use a prop, we’ll explore how a yoga block can help us move with greater awareness, refine our balance, improve proprioception (our sense of where the body is in space), cultivate focus, and uncover new possibilities within familiar postures.
Throughout the course, we’ll use blocks in both conventional and unexpected ways. Sometimes they will offer support and stability; other times they will challenge us to pay closer attention, move more precisely, or experience a pose in an entirely new way.
Each class will be a complete, balanced practice, blending strength, mobility, stability, breath and mindful movement.
This isn’t a course about learning to use yoga blocks. It’s about learning to move, feel and practise differently through the use of yoga blocks.
What’s included
- 10 weekly live classes on Zoom
- Tuesdays at 7:00 pm (BST), starting 14th July
- All classes recorded and shared with participants
- Practise live or enjoy the flexibility of completing the classes in your own time
- Revisit your favourite practices or catch up (all recordings available until 6th October)
What you need: Two equal size yoga blocks and a mat.
Suitable for anyone with a regular yoga practice who is curious to deepen their experience and discover just how much one simple prop can transform the way we move.
