Life can often feel like it’s zipping by in fast forward. We feel obliged to accelerate our own speed along with it, until our productivity turns into frenzied accomplishment. In truth, rushing never gets you anywhere but on to the next activity or goal. Take time to slow down
In this relaxing Sunday flow, we will deliberately slow our movement on the mat to become more mindful and fully present.
We will give ourselves the opportunity to reacquaint ourselves to our natural rhythms and let go of the “fast forward” stress, allowing our bodies to remain centred and grounded.
Slowing down is inherent to fully savouring anything in life. Learning to slow down in our fast-moving world can take practice, but if you slow down long enough to try it, you may surprise yourself with how natural and organic living at this pace can be.
The art of slowing down is one of the safest and most effective ways to manage stress, maintain health and sleep better.
Learn how we can use the physical body to calm and soothe the mind and support the body’s natural ability to heal and nurture.
Gandha will guide you through 75min of fluid sequence to stretch and open out the body, to allow you to leave feeling calmer, more balanced and less stressed.
After the flow, Esther will give us a talk on the psychological benefits to mindfulness and journaling, leading a self awareness meditation and a journaling activity. In the workshop, we will be focusing on how to take the mindfulness that we practice on the mat off the mat and into our everyday lives.
